Last night I was so tired I went to bed right after the end of the competition on TV (10.30 pm on a saturday night, it’s kind of sad xD) and I forgot to post a recap here.
So, USA was amazing. I really liked Maroney, her vault is near perfect and she does it so easily it’s hard to believe it’s actually an Amanar. Wieber had a good competition except for a fall on floor, it was actually quite scary, not because of the fall itself but she almost brushed her head on the floor during the layout front after the two and a half twists, she could have hurt herself pretty bad, luckily she didn’t.
Russia had a lot of falls, it also wasn’t a very strong team and I didn’t know any of the gymnasts except for Kurbatova…
Italy had a very good competition, I was really glad to see Carlotta Giovannini doing all the apparatuses, she’s still not on her best form but she said she just started training again after an injury and this was her first international competition in a few years.
Carlotta Ferlito was great too, her beam is beautiful and she has upgraded both her vault and bars, I can’t wait to see her at euros.
I hope someone took videos of the junior competition because I really want to see them!

Good bars for Wieber. I’d never seen Maroney’s bars, nice routine, I really like her.
This coverage is messy, to say the least. There are no names of the gymnasts shown, so the commentators have to say the scores while other gymnasts are competing. Nice floor for Giulia Leni, but she need to clean her form. I can’t comment too much for USA and Russia because I don’t know all of the gymnasts
Jesolo competition has started on raisport2. I hope I won’t make a lot of mistakes because there are no names or scores in the coverage -_-
I’m happy to see Carlotta Giovannini back, nice floor. Elisabetta Preziosa is not competing because she has been sick lately.
Good bars for Raisman.
Very bad mistake for Chiara Gandolfi on FX (landed OOB and fell on her first pass) but the choreography is nice.

Apparently there’s no liveblogging of the junior competition of Jesolo, I guess we’ll have to wait for the end for the results and then hope that someone took some videos
I’m going swimming now, I hope I’ll be back in time for the start of the Jesolo competition, juniors start in about three hours, I hope www.federginnastica.it will post quick hits, if they do I’ll post translations here!
