My dash is full of people commenting on Jak Dalton’s engagement, my question is: isn’t he like 21? Is it normal in the US to get married/engaged in your early 20s (or even before that)? Or is it just gymnasts?

Or maybe I am the weird one?

LOL. We wasted our entire review session yesterday talking about good old Berlusconi, his bunga bunga parties, how Muammar Gaddafi basically showed him how to run an orgy, and how they’re postponing his trial so doesn’t have extra stress while running for office LOLOLOL. That’s actually the funniest thing I’ve ever heard.

yep, most of my American friends think Italian politics is hilarious! I understand why they would think that but I can never agree 100% because Berlusconi and other politicians have fucked up the country in the last 20 years or something, so whenever something new happens I usually just get mad LOL

Anyway, I’m pretty sure that list could go on and on and on… Italian politicians are and endless source of entertainment (or disappointment, depending on your point of view)

I’m so happy Grishina medalled both in the AA and on beam (and was fourth on FX) I’ve always loved her gymnastics but her tendency to headcase was frustrating, but it looks like she’s gaining confidence, can’t wait to see what she’ll do in the future :)

I feel like I’m the only person who likes it it gives the FX fluency and it doesn’t look so bitty
Like before it was Tumble pause tumble pause choreo pause a bit more pause etc etc i prefer it now because it all flows
I get the determined thing that you’re on about
But now it just looks more like a performance rather than a bashed out routine it makes it more exciting imo

EDIT: NB Larisa’s FX it just looks really good to watch it flows it’s stylish it fits the music to the dot it just appears to be nicer and more appealing without pauses

I think it depends on the gymnast, when it’s done right it can be really good (I liked Sankova’s firt pass, for example), but when you have gymnasts just standing in the corner, either facing the corner or simply with one foot in front of the other it looks weird, and most times it makes the routine look rushed and not so “clean”, IMO

Agree! Also you see gymnasts like Grishina still standing in the corner to take a breath, the only difference is that she stands there with her back to the floor, than turns around and does her pass, which is really stupid!

Or gymnasts stand there with one foot in front of the other, but occasionally there are some cool variations :)
