There’s a magic to the way the Chinese do beam that no one else has.

destined-amore asked:
Vanessa Ferrari, Sandra Izbasa, Jiang Yuyuan :P

Vanessa Ferrari: My opinion of Vanessa is heavily influenced by the fact that I am Italian! I have always been a fan of hers, even if her gymnastics is probably not my favorite. She definitely is a fighter and her attitude in competition is amazing, I love how she doesn’t get distracted by mistakes but keeps being focussed on the rest of the competition. I love that she didn’t retire after Beijing and she’s still continuing after London, it would be amzing if she finally got her “revenge” in Rio! Or at least a medal at Worlds! She’s had a lot of bad luck with injuries and fourth places! Also she doesn’t deserve all the hate she gets!

Sandra Izbasa: At the beginning of her senior career I didn’t really like her, I never liked her on bars and beam, but in 2008 I was really happy for her FX gold medal. Then, after the Olympics she “suddenly” had two amazing vaults (besides her already amazing floor) and that’s when I really started to love her! Even if I don’t really like her as an AAer I have a huge amount of respect for her for going back to being an AAer in 2012 (and ending up 5th at the Olympics like a boss!). I was really happy for her gold medal on VT and sad for her mistakes on FX in London :(

Jiang Yuyuan: I really loved her on floor in Beijing and it was sad that she made a mistake on her first event in the AA, other than that I was happy to see that she didn’t retire after the Olympics and I would have liked to see her again in London
