teamromania:

What do you put in your hair to keep it like that?

E: It’s like a combination of gel and wax I guess, so It’s something special. But I don’t like it to be too hard, you know, that it’s a little bit loose so in the air it’s flying in all directions.

Do you have any Justin Bieber Fever at all? Any Bieber Fever?

F: Not really.

I didn’t think so because I think what we need to have is something called the Hambüchen Flu. With the Hambüchen Flu it’s just an overwhelming sense of happiness and sportsmanship and patriotism and just overall good guy. I think we should all catch the Hambüchen flu.

And Philipp boy is giving an interview behind them. I think that I just fell in love with this video.

I had never seen this video! Or any of the others from IGonline! I guess I have found what to do tonight!

Just found out that there’s going to be another (women’s) gymnastics meeting between Germany and the USA by the end of March! :)

They haven´t announced where it going to be but it’s in Germany… yaay! The last one was back in 2009 and it was soo cool!

Also German Nationals are going to be in Mannheim which is not too far away…

AND Worlds will be in Belgium which is also pretty close!

Looks like a pretty cool gymnastics year! :)

I hope I’ll still be in Germany by the end of March!!! And that the competition is not somewhere impossible to reach from Berlin (like when they do competitions in Italy in places far from everyone and everything)

If I have the chance I definitely want to see some gymnastics competitions while there. I was thinking about going to Stuttgart for the World Cup in December, but first I want to know which gymnasts will be there

I JUST WANT TO GIVE PHILIPP A HUG.

fuckyeahphilippboy:

gymnasticsappreciation:

HE NEEDS A HUG.

PLEASE?

Me too!

I think we can find a lot of people willing to give him a hug ;)

Plot twist: Kohei Uchimura doesn’t qualify for any individual events.

No! Don’t say that! Shut up! :( :( :(

WHY KOHEI? WHY?

korbutflip:

Cool—albeit impractical—transition.

When I found out Jenna Marbles used to be a gymnast

- Boy with a fall on high bar & pommel horse

- Hambüchen with a fall on pommel horse and some landing problems on vault but a 16.400 on high bar!!!

-  Krimmer is probably the surprise of the day :) out of 10 gymnasts he was the only one with no problems on pommel horse (14.900)

My prediction of the team: Hambüchen, Boy, Nguyen, Krimmer and Taranu (alternates: Toba & Fahrig)

I’m so happy Philipp had a decent/good day today! I wish they would take Matze to the Olympics too, though. :(

Brazilian gymnast Jade Barbosa to miss Olympics over sponsors

gymnasticsflowers:

One of Brazil’s top women’s gymnasts will not make it to the Olympics because she allegedly refused to wear the team’s uniforms in London.

The Brazilian gymnastics confederations said on Wednesday that Barbosa didn’t want to sign an agreement that required her to wear the uniforms with the team’s sponsors.

Gymnastic officials said they complied with several of Barbosa’s demands, but could not allow her not to wear the same uniform as the other Brazilian athletes.

The 20-year-old Barbosa, who could not be immediately contacted for comment, had not showed up for the team’s preparations because of the dispute.

Five Brazilian women gymnasts will make the final list for the 2012 Games.

Barbosa, who was in the 2008 Olympics, has won two bronze medals in world championships.

Is this for real? All this over leotards and sponsors?????

I don’t know what to think about this… I mean, sponsors? Really? You’re gonna miss the Olympics because you don’t want to wear a leotard??? (or you’re gonna have one of your best gymnasts miss the Olympics because of it?)

This is the most stupid thing I’ve ever read!
